Thanks for visiting!
We are thankful that the members collected nearly 600 Cup of Noodle Soup to help the homeless students of USD 500! This was Midwest North District project hosted by Presiding Elder Fran Cary! To date 6,000 cup of noodle soups were collected!
HELEN LOUISE SMITH

The Late Helen Louise Smith has now received her wings. She was a dear friend of Gregg Tabernacle, who called herself an affiliated member. She supported Gregg Tabernacle physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially. She will be greatly missed!
Helen attended school in Kansas City MO graduated from Lincoln High School. After high school she attended KU, and enlisted in the Air Force in February 1949, serving her country. While in the military she worked as a data processor. When she retired in March 1970 she was a Master Sergeant.
After the service she continued her education at Pepperdine University, and graduated from UMKC in 1975. She worked for Social Security and was instrumental in establishing the VISTA Program in the Kansas City area.
Helen was a member of Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church, and actively attended until her health failed. She was a former member of St. John A.M.E. Church. Ms. Helen loved the A.M.E. Church and was a faithful and loyal servant until the time of her transition. She was also an affiliated member of Gregg Tabernacle A.M.E. Church, Kansas City, MO.
Ms. Helen served in many capacities of the churches: Young People's Department, Women's Missionary Society, Lay Organization, Class Leader, Sunday School Dept., Trustee; and many special committees.
In addition, she was a faithful volunteer in Ward's Soup Kitchen.
Due to her great support of education of young minds, she requested a scholarship fund
be created in her name. Therefore, please donate towards the Helen L. Smith Scholarship
